Property Match Alerts from my website can make your home search much easier to manage. Instead of repeatedly checking to see what’s new, you can identify the criteria that matter to you and receive notifications when matching properties become available. My site pulls in properties listed by REALTORS® – including many of the same listings you’ll see on Zillow®, Realtor.com®, and other national platforms – while allowing you to focus the search around what you’re actually hoping to find.
Timing can matter when an appealing property comes on the market. New listings may appear throughout the day, so an alert can help you learn about a potential match without having to keep checking for it yourself. That doesn’t mean every notification will be the right home. It simply gives you the opportunity to take a closer look while the property is still worth considering. Getting started is easy:
- Click the “Property Match Alerts” link at the top of this page.
- Enter the criteria that matter to you – price range, bedrooms, location, must-haves, and more.
- Choose whether you’d like to receive your notifications by email, text, or both.
You may be asked to create a quick account with your contact information so the system knows where to send your alerts. Your information is used to provide those notifications.
The criteria don’t have to be perfect the first time. In fact, sometimes a search becomes more useful after you’ve seen a few homes and discovered that something you thought was essential really isn’t — or that a feature you hadn’t considered suddenly matters quite a bit. Your alerts can be adjusted as your thinking changes.
You can also create more than one alert if you’re considering different possibilities – perhaps separate searches for two areas, different price ranges, or even a primary residence and an investment property. Seeing those options side by side may help you understand where you’re willing to compromise and where you’re not.
