You check the listings, find nothing that meets your criteria, and move on with your day. Then the right property appears – and by the time you discover it, it’s already under contract. Your search criteria may have been fine. The problem may simply have been timing.
Property Match Alerts from my website can help solve that problem by watching for new listings that meet the criteria you select. Instead of relying on repeated manual searches, you can define what you’re looking for and let the system notify you when a potential match becomes available.
That doesn’t mean every alert will be a property you want to pursue. It means you’ll have the information sooner so you can evaluate the listing and decide whether it’s worth a closer look. Setting up an alert takes only a few steps:
- Click the “Property Match Alerts” link at the top of this page.
- Enter the criteria that matter to you, such as price range, bedrooms, location, and other preferences.
- Choose whether you’d like to receive notifications by email, text, or both.
You may need to create a quick account and provide contact information so the system knows where to send your alerts.
Your initial criteria don’t have to be permanent. In fact, the results themselves can provide useful information. If an alert produces too many properties that don’t interest you, the criteria may need to be narrowed. If very few properties appear, you may want to decide which preferences are essential and which ones have some flexibility. A good search becomes more useful as you learn from what the market is actually offering.
You may also find it useful to create multiple alerts. Separate searches can help you compare different neighborhoods, price ranges, property types, or even a primary residence with an investment opportunity. Rather than combining every possibility into one broad search, separate alerts can make the results easier to evaluate.
