Is Buying a Home the Priority Right Now?

Maybe it’s been a while since buying a home felt important. That’s okay. Life gets busy. Plans change. Things that once felt urgent move further down the list, and sometimes we’re perfectly happy with where we ended up. So if buying a home isn’t where your attention is right now, there’s something I’d like you to know: you don’t owe me an explanation. And you certainly don’t need to buy a home for us to stay connected.

A LOT CAN HAPPEN BETWEEN “I’M THINKING ABOUT IT” AND “I’M READY”
When we first connected, buying a home may have been something you genuinely expected to do. Then life happened.

Maybe work changed. Maybe finances changed. Maybe you renewed your lease. Maybe someone came into your life—or someone left it. Maybe another goal became more important. Or maybe you looked around one day and realized you’re actually pretty happy right where you are.

You don’t have to explain any of that.

Real estate is supposed to fit into your life. Your life isn’t supposed to rearrange itself because you once said you were thinking about buying a house.

THERE’S NOTHING TO APOLOGIZE FOR
If you’ve ever seen an email from me, meant to respond, and then didn’t—don’t worry about it.

If you looked at homes for a while and then stopped—don’t worry about that either.

If I’ve sent you information you’ve barely glanced at because buying a home simply wasn’t what you were thinking about that day, that’s okay too.

I don’t measure a relationship by how quickly someone turns into a transaction.

If someday you need me, I want you to feel comfortable reaching out—not wondering whether you waited too long, disappeared for too long, or somehow need to explain where you’ve been.

WE CAN JUST STAY IN TOUCH
There’s plenty to talk about in real estate besides the house you’re going to buy next.

Maybe something interesting happens in the neighborhood. Maybe you’re curious about what homes are selling for. Maybe you’re wondering whether renting still makes sense. Maybe a friend mentions they’re thinking about moving and you realize you know somebody they can call.

Or maybe none of those things happen for a while.

That’s okay too.

Staying connected doesn’t have to mean you’re getting ready to do business. Sometimes it just means you know someone in real estate who’s still around when you need them.

AND IF SOMEDAY BECOMES THE DAY…
Maybe six months from now something changes. Maybe it’s three years from now. Maybe buying never becomes the right choice for you.

Whatever happens, there isn’t a clock running in the background.

If the day does come when you start thinking about buying again, you don’t need to begin with an apology or a long explanation. You don’t even need to remember where the old conversation ended.

Just call, text, or send me a message and say, “I think I’m ready to look again.”

That’s enough. We can start from there.

Until then, live your life. Enjoy where you are. Pay attention to the things that matter to you right now. I’ll still share things from time to time that I think might be useful, interesting, or worth knowing.

Because you don’t have to be looking for a home for me to be glad we know each other.
